We arrived in Las Vegas and wasted no time in checking out the casinos. Our hostel is just off of the strip.

To get from one end of the strip to the other you have to catch a bus called the Deuce, it runs 24hrs, but it takes over an hour to get from one end to the other!! The casinos are huge and it is like all the flims you see but even tackier!! We didn't really gamble a lot on the first night as we still have two nights left!!

The next day we went on a trip to the Grand Canyon, on the way we stoppd at the Hoover Dam. It really is impressive, given that it was built in 1935. We then went to the canyon it is huge,Rachel ad Laura went on a helicopter ride right into the canyon and then went on a short boat ride through the canyon before getting back in the helicopter and up to the top!! Emma went on a bus to a lookout and then peered over the edge. You can't even begin to describe how deep it is and photos don't do it amy justice. I think everyone should go and see it!! We came back to the hostel and then explored the rest of the strip. We went to a couple of themed casinos, there was one set out like New York and another just like Paris. It was freezing cold that night and we didn't get into bed until 3am!!

Our last day in Vegas and it was Thanksgiving. We went to the strip in daytime, it was really different seeing it without all the lghts. We found an amusement arcade and managed to win some soft toys!! We also went to M an M world and stocked up on the differernt coloured m and m's!! It was then time for Thanksgiving dinner, the hostel we were stying at cooked a brilliant dinner all for free!! That night we decided we would go to one casino and actually try and win some money. We went back to New York (the casino not the place), Emma and Laura went on the roller coaster that surrounds it, it went really high up and ends in the casino!! It was then time to hit the slot machines, everyone won some money, Emma kept hers ($78) except thet she actually only kept $45.

Vegas had been great fun!! We can't wait to come back!!
