So off we head off from the sleepy (ex-pat) town of Corozal to what is hopefully a more inspiring town of Orange Walk. After paying an 'exit fee' (blatantly going in fat custom officers pocket), we left Mexico. So as not to end up arriving late at night in an unfamiliar Belize city, we decided to stop off at Corozal, a small town by the sea about an hour accross the border. So our time in Mexico is at an end, here are our observations: 1) Mexicans are super friendly, love to stay out late just sitting in the town squares, just kinda sitting there watching the world go by, which is nice to see - I guess the weather helps in this case 2) The food is amazing, we will try and make you some of the food we have tried when we return. The local drink is Sol, so not much different from home (although tastes better when drinking in the sun!...

As those of you who have been travelling for an extensive amount of time, you can´t go to restaurants everyday and before you know it you are cooking away your own food and become rather domesticated. This is Emily very skillfully cooking our dinner in our current accommodation. Good old pasta with tuna. As much as we love the Mexican food, sometimes you just need to eat more familar stuff. I think we have see more Iguanas in the last week than all our previous years combined. They are everywhere, hanging out along the paths, in the grass, up the walls, all over the place. Sometimes you have to negotiate three or four in a row, they don´t seem to be the least bit concerned with humans and stand their ground.
