The buses here are quite random. took a first class one the other day that was more like an aeroplane than a bus - you had to check-in your luggage and go through a boarding gate! in contrast, we took a local bus yesterday with no method of signalling the driver to stop except banging loudly on the windows or shouting "abrir la puerta". even the locals were struggling and falling all over the place with the drivers crazy antics.

Visited our first Maya ruin today - Edzna (c 600 AD). You are still allowed to wander all over the ruins and they are set in the jungle so is pretty amazing. and MASSIVE iguanas everywhere...
