Hola,
Yesterday we arrived in the costal town on Celestun. Discovered an amazing beach with lots going on, some kind of gig going down (ther appears to always be some kind of music event on in this country)
Decided to watch the sunset over the Gulf of Mexico but a violent thunderstorm put pay to that.
Headed out in the evening for some food but pretty much everywhere was shut, it appears that this is a daytime town for beach goers, when they all head back to the city the place shuts down and becomes very local. However we found a great place to eat and watched the crazyness that is a small Mexica town (lots of motorbikes, music, dancing and some sort of party bus that continually drives around the town)
Staying in a nice but random hostal where the person at reception doesn´t seem to have learnt the art of speaking, and when we arrived back last night all the lights were off and the doors locked. After a while we found another doorway and managed to unlock it to get in!
Today we took a trip into the jungle on a canoe, was amazing but mosqutios were all over us, annoying little things!
Went through mangrove swamps and saw lots of wildlife, and at the end we had to cycle back to the start - which was great fun.
One more night in this random town then off to the city of Campeache tomorrow (exepecting to be on the bus for a good 4-5 hours)
Will let you know how that goes.
Hope all is well with everyone in the uk.

Tristan All's well back here, well, apart from the riots in London. Hackney is burning! Sounds like you guys are having an amazing time, and only the first couple of days.
