So it was back to Tobago, and very happy to be there. Don't get me wrong Angel Falls was worth the money alone, but I'd rather have hired a personal plane and flown there.Caribbean airways - also s***! 4 flights - all delayed…!Anyhow enough… Tobago has been glorious since we have been back. Weather is fabulous, we spent the whole first day back by the pool, literally just chilling out and soaking up the sun. It is really hot here when there is no clouds in the sky. And by really hot I mean really hot!We have also decided to sample some of the Toboggan hotels restaurants, and the one that has stood out the most so far would be Dillons Seafood restaurant. We have found a gorgeous type of soup over here called Calalou which we have been eating non stop, it's a root so I am told, and its got a bit of spice to it…And I had my first try of lobster at Dillons, that is a full 2lb lobster - my god it was yum! Had loads of fun trying to eat it all, and think I did alright. I would definitely recommend it though, the best food in Crown Point.
We have also been down the capital Scarborough, where we went to a locals fruit market and bought the biggest bunch of grapes you have ever seen for about 4 pounds… they were delicious too. Really enjoying chilling out this week, been in the sea outside our hotel and walked the beach. Also visited our local town Plymouth which has an old colonial fort, really the highlight of the whole town, the views have been good since the weather has really cleared up.
Megan has also made a friend at our bar who keeps giving her cocktails for free! woohoo... we alsways knew she would come in handy one of these days.
We have a couple of days left where we have a car, so will explore the island again and hopefully head back up to Charlottesville, and hopefully have a rainforest tour with a good guide.
