Ok so I havent been very well for the last couple of days. But really did try to make the most of the trip and everything we saw! From Ayres Rock we went to Alice Springs which was another hot hot hot drive, mainly because the airconditioning failed on the bus, contributing to my "not being very well!" Alice is a weird little town and not too safe, seems to be a lot of tension between the aboriginals and the white folk who live here! Kindof a backward little place. Very eriee! But we had a nice lunch and a couple of good nights out. Had to say goodbye to everyone except Mary, Agnus and Lior who travelled upto Darwin. Now the trip to Darwin was when I really wasnt very well, but again I did try so hard to do everything. First was the Devils Marbles, Sanstone Bolders in the desert - kindof funky. We got to see a tropical storm from a distance one night which was gorgeous...folk lightening and roars of thunder. Katherine gorge was spectacular, really great hike with views that rival the grand canyon. Also saw the Buffalo in Crocodile Dundee mounted in a bar enroute. Fun Fun Fun. The highlight was wimming in Natural pools surrounded by flying foxes..going back to the wild.
Darwin seems cool though, and I can't wait to get to Kakadu, the National Park up here where we get to swim with Crocodiles...Awesome! Also got to see teh German girls again, who flew upto Darwin.
So lets see how Darwin suits! Its really hot up here already, and humid too - reminds me of the heat in Singapore.
