Visited Regensburg today. George had been here before on a school trip. He didn't remember much but noticed that a lot of the old medieval buildings had been restored. Could only see the inside of the cathedral from the back as a new bishop was being made so there was a special service. The church bells were wonderful to hear.

Lovely day again although the programme said there was a 60% chance of showers in the afternoon. Excellent guide today. When the tour was finished we could go back to the boat or skip going back for lunch and get picked up at 3pm. We decided on the latter. First thing we did was get a "bier" und ein "eischokolatte". Boat was still delayed so we did not arrive in Würzburg till about 12 so we were given a packed lunch away with us. Würzburg palace was amazing. The frescos and stucco work and the mirrored cabinet (an actual room) were awe inspiring. Walked through the old town back to the bus and hence the boat. Now we are sailing down the Main river. This morning Teresa, Martin , George and I went to the Wellness centre. George just sat on a sun lounger but the rest of us went in the spa. It was lovely. Then we went to lunch. After lunch we just relaxed till the boat berthed. Boat was held up and didn't arrive at Freudenburg till 16.45. We were told to go straight to the bus.
