Best start to the day ever with a beautiful bush walk. Drove out to Mount Remarkable National Park, and walked Alligator Gorge. The rocky, bushy walk was exactly what we needed before another trip in the car. Only one small mishap with Nyah slipping into some water, but managed to recover well, with only one wet foot to show for it. The kids had a ball and it was a great workout going up and down the stairs too!
Headed back to camp and left with a quick stop in Port Augusta for some supplies before we drove on to Woomera. Not much here at this town now really although it's history is interesting. The kids enjoyed seeing all the rockets in town (about all that's here now besides the post office) although would have been a place to see in the 60's with all the atomic research going on. The area I still used today by the defence force, although most of the houses are empty. This town has a population of around 120 so pretty quiet.
Big drive tomorrow to Coober Pedy.
Highlight of the day....Nyah's close encounter with the wallaby in the Gorge this morning. She almost ran into him and she was delighted!
