A long drive to get to Exmouth but not many places to stay in between there and Karratha. We were happy to be by the coast and looking forward to some snorkeling.
Plenty of "do not feed the emus" signs at our caravan park to warn us of roaming visitors. We didn't take much notice until one Emu came pecking at the girls toys during breakfast.
Great snorkeling at Oyster Stacks and Turquoise Bay. Jaime really enjoyed getting in and searching for fish, but preferred just goggles rather than the full mask and snorkel setup. Alex not so keen to get her head under, but happy to spot crabs in the rocks and build sandcastles. Saw our first turtles which was the main thing we were after.
Not many kids in the park for the girls to befriend, but they still swam in the icy pool!
