Day #3 From Sedona to the Grand Canyon

On the third day of our road trip we travelled from Sedona to the Grand Canyon.

On our way to the Grand Canyon we stopped at the Chapel of the Holy Cross Church to shoot some more pictures of the gorgeous Red Rocks and of course the church. Thanx to RabitRoodle who told us that was an amazing place to shoot the Rocks.

Slide Rock State Park

After leaving Sedona (where on a next trip we defiantly have to stay a few days longer) we passed by Slide Rock. This park is known for the water slides provided by mother nature. Unfortunately I didn't have my bathing suit on or else I would have tried them out. We did shoot some pics of the slides and waterfalls though.

Grand Canyon

After an amazing breath taking tour through the mountains we ended up in the Grand Canyon. We were a little early for our check inn at the Bright Angle Lodge (that's on the rim of the GC) so we did some sight seeing. What an amazing gap in the world.

After we checked inn we went to Mohave Point for the Sunset. It was beautiful only no clouds in the sky which would have made our pictures more colorful. There were a lot of condors in hovering above the GC though. Only my shutter speed was to slow so the images didn't work out the way I liked.

Did shoot some stars above the GC after dinner that were pretty cool. Never tried it so that's why I probably like them.
