From the Grand Canyon to Monument Valley.

I had a really rough night. The spinach salad I had for dinner turned my bowels in a speedway to Sewerville. So with maybe an hour of sleep and still feeling crapy I didn't feel up to shooting the sun rising over the Grand Canyon at Yaki Point with Richard. He left at 4:45 and I tried to catch up on some Z's but couldn't. So I decided I'd shoot the Grand Canyon sunrise near the cabin where we stayed. But the photos weren't up to my own standards so no photos of the sunrise :D

Butterflies & the Grand Canyon.

We had planned to go on a helicopter flight over and in the Grand Canyon. I wasn't so sure if that was a good idea since my stomach was in rage. I decided that if my breakfast would take the normal time to digest I would go.

Luckily my belly was pretty much back to normal. So we went to Papillon GC tours. A little anxious that I would need to go potty during the flight, but I got on board anyway. We took the 50 min. tour of the Grand Canyon. Although the temperature in the chopper was killing me the heli-view of the GC was breath taking!

What a View @ Monument Valley

Last stop of the day was Monument Valley. It was a long ride that took us through some amazing scenery. The landscape changed so many times. Even when were driving the view to the left was so different from the view on the right side of the road. When we arrived in Monument Valley we were just in time to shoot the sunset. What a mesmerizing place. The View hotel is a must-stay-when-in-Monument-Valley! After dinner we enjoyed and shot a small part of Monument Valley from our balcony. It all looks not all too big. But with the road that runs in front of the Mittens and the ant sized cars driving over that road you realize it's huge!
