... where we got chatting to a Canadian lady and her daughter. We did some shopping in Woolworths for supplies and returned to the car to set off once more. That's when we got a tap on our window from Sonia and Desiree to invite us to theirs for Xmas.

The whole experience has been wonderful but really bizarre. They only moved to Australia from Vancouver a couple of weeks ago so are currently stopping in a complex whilst house hunting. We helped them get straight and move boxes etc. Xmas day. Sean, Sonia, Desiree and Tammy are a friendly bunch and a very cute family with their ways and words. I am starting to get a little worried as to why we keep getting taken in by everyone though?!

Sonia's Xmas dinner was certainly better than the cup of soup we had planned and it was nice to spend Xmas in a family home, watching Xmas films and playing games etc. The only downside is that it made me miss all my klodders back home even more. It was a strange experience being so far away from all my loved ones especially because I celebrated Xmas whilst it was still Xmas eve back home.

The complex has been a bit of luxury for us with 2 pools, jacuzzi, sauna and gym all available for our use. We even ha a Xmas stocking each to wake up to on Xmas day with some sweets and Canada socks inside :D

The girls have since taken us out in labrador to show us some of the night life. We had a cool night out with them and their friends Sef and Voy culminating in swimming in the surprisingly warm sea at the end of the night. So it's been an awesome unplanned week in the random town of Labrador. I don't think we could ever repay the kindness shown to us by this sweet Canadian family. With new years in Brisbane planned we await the next leg of our journey up the coast.
