A Bull Abroad…
We packed the car up and spent a few days heading up the coast in our new Holden Commodore station wagon. Camping is always good fun and life on the road a banter full time however, throw rain into the mix and those f***ing Mosquitos and it's not so fun.
We survived the ordeal with some pasta, general awesomeness and a lot of laughs.
We also got to see... The big prawn! I literally spent 10 minutes crying with laughter as it is definitely the most bizarre thing I've ever seen.
So we travelled like this for a few days feeling very sorry for ourselves that we had cup of soup to look forward to on Xmas day until we pulled up at Labrador. About 30 minutes outside Brisbane we went into the McDonalds for a bite to eat and to steal their wifi.....

Barry & Helen Enjoyed reading your blogs, you have got youselves a good vehicle for your trip. I drove Holdens for years in the outback (before 4WD's became the vehicle of choice) and only once had a breakdown and had to walk 64kms ( before mobile phones) They were the days! You will probably have to head inland and go through Chartres Towers to get to Townsville because of flooding in the Fitzroy river. It sounds pretty bad. It's two days since that terrible walloping dished out to our poor cricketers by your mob and the pain has eased a bit. Another couple of days and all will be forgiven I think. After all of this you are still very welcome. Wishing you safe travelling and great adventures ahead, regards Helen and Barry PS Can't get the smile off Helen's face.
