Day 28- Tues 5th
Today we were very hungover and had to rush our breakfast and just about made it onto the coach. We had to travel for 7 hours today, I'm sick of the coach already! Nathan kept talking about all the sights along the way but there wasn't anything great. We finally got to Wellington, the capital city, and drove to the top of Mount Victoria. It was really cold and windy up the top and we jumped out to take a few pictures and jumped straight back on the coach! We then headed to our hotel, the Abel Tasmin which was really nice and we would be staying here for 2 nights. We had a few hours sleep (we love our naps) and then went for dinner at Blend, a local bar. Food wasn't great but the drinks were really cheap and everyone was doing Jeiger Bombs..think that it's really popular in New Zealand. Spent the rest of the night dancing…mainly on furniture.
Day 29- Wed 6th
Today was our free day in Wellington, we tried to have a lie in but the road outside was pretty noisy. Got up at lunchtime which is a luxury on this tour and headed for the harbor. Had a little walk then went to the National Museum which was free. Its bank holiday today so there was quite a few people about. The museum was interesting, saw loads of stuff about the Maori. We spent the afternoon just wandering around, using the internet and relaxing. Went to dinner at a local Italian restaurant which was weird as it did Greek food as well.
