Day 30- Thur 7th

It was a very early start today, had to be on the coach by 7am! We are leaving the North Island and going to the South via ferry. It was an ok journey, we slept most of the way. Got to the port of Picton and then it was back on the coach for a ride to Christchurch. Along the way we stopped at the Oturo Lookout and saw loads of seals and there were baby ones too!!! They were so cute. We got to Christchurch quite late and didn't have much time to check in at the Beasley Hotel before we were off to the cricket. We had got tickets to watch England vs New Zealand in the 20-20 matches. It was a good stadium and we seemed to be sitting in the rough part. There were loads of guys shouting abuse at the few England supporters, they didn't seem to separate the two sets of fans…I suppose they don't expect violence at the cricket! We were amongst it all eating our pie and chips and having a beer, to be honest it was more entertaining than the match. England won thank goodness, and after the game we headed back to the hotel for some much needed sleep.
