We spent two nights in Clare surrounded by wineries.We chose not to visit any however we did sample some local beer at the Sevenhills hotel.The area would be lovely if it were green - no drought breaking activities here, although we did have the thermals on one night.

Unfortunately we didn't get to watch, only listen to, the Socceroos versus Qatar World Cup qualifier match as Foxtel is so expensive none of the local pubs have it available in their public bars.We made ourselves a BBQ dinner and sat and listened to the match on the ABC.

On Thursday 7th February we hit the road to Broken Hill where we are going to stay with my cousin Shane and his son Harlen-Jay.
