Dan. Nic, Madisson and I set off to walk to Laura's office to meet her for lunch. Nic has been here for 2 months and has done this almost every weekday but, typical me, I completely overheated and thought I may pass out. So we had to go into a doctors' waiting room for me to cool down! Laura came to pick us up and we popped into her office to say hi to Malcolm (her dad), Victoria (her sister) and evryone else, then went to the Chinese restaurant next door. After lunch we went up to Malcolm's hosue to pick up the car he'd arranged for us (company car) and drove back to Laura's. Very glad about the car, it means we don't have to walk everywhere in the heat! At 6 o'clock we went down to meet Laura's boyfriend Matt, who is American and looks like Elvis! He works for a boat hire company next to London Bridge! We took a boat out and had a gorgeous sunset ride through the lake and upstream along the Colorado River. The lake is man made, due to a dam further south, and the river is wider here than previously, flanked on either side by rocks of every shade of red and burnt yellow. Very, very pretty. Apparantly there are some secluded spots around here where they film porn movies!
