Stayed at Malc's last night, he's in Mexico for the weeknd, and we stayed up playing cards and drinking. There was a storm last night, we all stood outside and watched sheet lightening flashing across the desert sky then the torrential rain that followed. It was fab. All 6 of us went for a picnic this evening on the man made beach on the shores of Lake Havasu, until we were attcked by a swarm of spooky white flies! So we moved further in and chilled out on the grass while Madisson ran around.

Went to discover the delights of Wal Mart this afternoon. We're still marvelling at how cheap everything is over here. It was Kate's birthday today so a load of us went bowling tonight. Kate is Laura's sister's boyfriend's sister...! It was really good fun, a proper American night out!

Went to a housewarming at Aaron's (workmate of Laura's) on Friday night and then spent Saturday recovering. mainly drinking tea, eating pizza and watching an Only Fools & Horses marathon. Strange but true. Lots of people in havasu play darts! Laura is on a team so Dan and I went with her to the bar where she was playing, Coyotes. It was a cool American dive bar. Laura just thinks that it's a dive, but she's been here for over 2 years. It had americana all over the walls and pitchers of beer and looked like it hadn't been decorated since the 60s. Laur'as team won and we went to meet Matt in another bar, he'd been playing darts too...
