We arrived in Singapore and did the tourist things of taking a tour along the river, going to see how the other half live at the Raffles hotel where the Singapore Sling Cocktail was invented. We didn't want to be rude so we ordered one...between us!! It did cost about 12 pounds though! Singapore was ok, we were expecting it to be a bit more flashy than it was. The main street though was full of all the top label brand shops and there were Christmas decorations everywhere. Quite surreal especially for a Muslim country. The countries mascot was the 'Merlion' half lion half fish, they basically made it up as they didn't have a emblem and created a really stupid story to say where the Merlion was so important!! Very weird! From Singapore we flew to Bali.
