We arrived in Bali and went to the beach which we were expecting to be white sand and crystal clear waters. Turns out to be full of rubbish and dead fish both all over the beach and in the sea. After coming out of the sea you stank of sewage, lovely!!! We did a surf lesson which was really good apart from the sewage. There was also a big shopping center there which we did our Christmas shopping for each other, with a whopping 5pounds budget! Spent Christmas day opening our presents while listening to Christmas songs on the ipod speakers. Highlights of the presents being a Ben10 notepad, a hotwheels car, and a small ripcurl drinks bottle, oh yes we splashed out this year!! Then we walked along the beach, this was where Dan proposed and after an initial laughing fit and reaction of "Ha, Ha.... NO", Becky said yes. Afterwards it did feel pretty weird as we both didn't know what to do. We then went and had a Christmas meal at a restaurant owned by a Irish couple. Servings were huge and did the trick. In the evening we skype'd, texted and called everyone to tell them the good news and celebrated with a load of cocktails and drinks in the evening. Be rude not to! Then the next day we flew to Sydney. Pretty good time was had in Bali!!
