We had the best sleep we have had for a long time. We were woken about 4am by torrential rain, it was absolutely bucketing down. But otherwise it was a great snooze. We woke about 11am & got our gear packed then checked out. We are swapping accommodation for the next 3 nights but unfortunately the new place doesn't have a/c, but we'll see how we go. We left the first hotel & headed up the road to find a place for breaky. Then we walked the next 1.5 k's to our guesthouse & were shown to the top floor which ended up being a furnace. We had two fans going but it made no difference, we were bloody hot. We decided that we couldn't stay for 3 nights so went & told the owner we only wanted to stay the one night. He was fine with it so we headed out to explore & have a look at other accommodation. We checked a few hotels but they were out of our price range. It was 4.30pm by this time so we decided to head down Loi Khorramshahr Rd which was full of bars. We made our way to an Aussie bar where we settled in with a couple of Aussies to watch the Afl, & watch Hawthorn be defeated by their nemesis Geelong. We left the bar, me a little sadder than Jac, & made our way to the night market where we grabbed a pizza for dinner. Following this we had a Thai massage. Of course Thai in the context of a massage simply means press here or there with no system at all. I actually enjoyed mine but Jac not so much, just a little too rough for her. With bruised bodies we headed back to our guesthouse to find new lodgings & to try to get some sleep in the hotbox of our room. Once again we were woken about 4am with pounding rain. We have been lucky though because being the wet season we expected a fair bit of rain during the day. But so far it has all been clear, hot & humid. It's sticky but definately better than being wet & sticky.
