Hello from Thailand,
We arrived in Bangkok not planning to stay for too long so we made the most of the two days we gave ourselves. We stayed in the popular tourist area Banglamphu, its a weird place with streets lined with bars, neon signs and touts offering ping pong shows every 10m. We were staying just by the river so we took a ferry down to the famous Wat Pho temple. This is home to Thailands largest reclining Buddha a 46m long and 15m high. As we hit the sunny weather we spent the afternoon bartering for sunglasses in the nearby markets. We also walked around Chinatown and the thieves market. On the day we left we took a long river cruise and went on the skytrain, which is an elevated metro above the streets, it was a cool way to see the city.
We are planning to see Martin and Warin in the northeast of Thailand which we are looking forward to.
