Danny's Summer '06 Study Abroad
Today after music class we headed to Padova (the group got split and some didn't get on the right train) to see the Scrovegni Chapel (which we missed our appointment for b/c we were put on the wrong train, but got a later appointment to go into), which is filled w/ Giotto's frescos. The every inch of the walls are covered and the ceilings are painted blue w/ stars and a few frescos. The wall frescos illustrate scenes mainly of Christ's life and are a unique style. Unfortunately I couldn't take pictures. Then we walked to another church, St. Antonio, which contains the tomb of St. Luke. Around the church is a park and today is the Independence day here so there was a big concert w/ MTV's TRL show that had a live band.
