Drove to Myrtle Beach first thing this morning and found it much like the Gold Coast in Qld but without as many high rise buildings. The beach was clean and very tidy considering the number of people on summer holiday there and all the accommodation looked full up. We stopped and took some photos on the beach and then walked out onto pier where there were dozens of people fishing - quite successfully too by what was in their buckets.
          
                                                   
We then headed off to the west and stopped at the Honda dealer in Florence to ask about tours over the Honda plant that makes all the ATV's and jet skis. And guess what? The plant was closed for annual summer holidays!!!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't believe it after travelling all this way.
So we headed on north-west just looking at the country and enjoying the great roads - a lot drier here in the top of South Carolina - and eventually we crossed into North Carolina and had a look at the city of Charlotte before finding somewhere to stay.
Tommorrow we will be in Greenville and the start of Wing-Ding 30 which should be a fantastic event - we have seen lots of 'Wings on the roads over the past couple of days - and is supposed to be going to attract 10 - 12,000 people.
