A nice relaxing start to Friday as we boarded the coach to head for Vrboska for some wine and cheese tastings! We followed a very narrow road, winding its way across the hills, several times having to squeeze to the side of the road to let cars and trucks past. The surrounds were mostly the same low scrub and myriads of rocks as we saw yesterday, with the remnants of the terraced, lavender fields clearly visible. Gods knows how many tons of rocks have been picked...

After a lazy breakfast we set off at 9am for a walk along the tree lined shore around to Hvar. It was about a kilometre and there was a view at every corner, culminating with views of the lovely little town set above the water! Showered, dressed, cases packed and put out and had brekky all before 7.45am this morning as we had to be in Split to catch our ferry at 2pm and we had a walking tour there first! At breakfast we learnt that our coach driver, Sacha, had been recalled to Zagreb and we have a new driver - Micho.
