A nice leisurely 9am departure this morning and we did a tour around the city of Vienna - a very picturesque place with lots of wide tree lined streets, before we stopped in the centre and did a walking tour with a local guide. It was pretty cold with light rain and as we had done this same tour last time I was very glad when the hour was up and we could find a spot out of the wind to enjoy a hot coffee! The plan was then to drive 90 kms or so to the city of Brat...

After a reasonable sleep we awoke quite early and caught up with all that had happened over the last day and a half via the free hotel WiFi. Met Den and Suze for a very leisurely and extensive buffet brekky at 9am and then walked a short way to the nearest underground station and caught the train into central Vienna. Being the 1st of May it was a public holiday to celebrate May Day and there were many protests groups etc in the main streets, but at least the rest...

SATURDAY 30th JUNE 2012INNSBRUCKPlenty of sore heads about this morning with one Victorian gentleman in particular in dire straits! THURSDAY 28th JUNE 2012VIENNAThis morning we left Venice and headed northwards almost immediately coming into the Diorite Mountains and superb mountain scenery!
