We had decided that due to a lengthy stop over at Changi Airport, that we would have a two day stopover and have a look around Singapore.
On arriving at the airport, we purchased The Singapore Tourist Pass, that gave us unlimited access to the rail and bus system. We only used the rail system, which we were both so impressed with. So off to Chinatown and we found our hotel very easily from the station. On leaving our bags with the hotel we spent the first day exploring Chinatown before heading back to the hotel for a rest. Then in the afternoon we jumped back onto a train and went to Clarke Quay for a few relaxing (and expensive) drinks, sitting back enjoying the boats and life along the Singapore river. Dinner was back at Chinatown for a fantastic meal.
The next morning we were up early and back on the train down to HarbourFront, were you get off the train, walk through a shopping complex, out onto the street and then into a business tower and up 15 floors to catch the Cable car across to Sentosa Island.
We spent the day on Sentosa Island, which was absolutely amazing. The end of the day was spent over at Marina Bay Sands before heading back to Chinatown for another great dinner. An early night was had, as we had an early flight out to Hanio.
