After leaving Shelley Beach we drove into Albany, had a look around town and stocked up on supplies. After leaving Fernhook Falls we drove into Walpole and had a look around the town before going to the Hilltop Giant Tingle Tree which was 23 meters in curcumfance, then onto the Valley of the Giants Treetop Walk. We found a great spot for a couple of days, Shelley Beach which was 30km west of Albany. Shelley Beach is in the West Cape Howe National Park which is Western Australia's most southern point. We set off in morning and arrived at Pemberton, went to the visitors centre to get our bearings. Off we went first to the giant Gloucester Tree, which is 60metres high. You can climb it but we both opted not to. One woman, 65 years young, had had two knee reconstrutions and a hip replacement had climbed the tree in half and hour.The Gloucester Tree was chosen for a fire lookout in 1947, one of a network of lookouts built in the karri forest between 1937 and 1952....

On the Friday morning we drove down to Bunbury and went to the Bunbury Farmers Market. It is designed so well, as you walk into the entrance there is a cafe, then you walk into the produce section where there is a juice/smoothie bar. You can order a fresh juice to enjoy as you are shopping. Then onto the fish section, where there is someone cooking up samples of fish to try.
