We left Norseman to cross the Nullarbor about midday, then drove 100km up the road before stopping for lunch. We left Coolgardie for the big 45k drive to Kalgoolie, first stop, the visitors information centre and got heaps of info on the town. As we were going back to DABUS we had a 4x4 troupy tooting us, only to discover it was Sheryl and Brian from Marlo, who we had first met back at Quondong Point, north of Broome. After a late start we headed to Norseman (180k), lunch and a look around town then and easy 200k to Coolgardie and pulled into the 24 hour rest area near the old railway station.  Once settled we went for a walk around town, such an old place with 90% of shops empty, but they do provide a great free camp close to the Pub for travellers.

We left Ravensthorpe and drove down to Hopetoun, which a beautiful stunning town compared to Bremner Bay. We chose to drive the coastal road which was compressed hard sandy stretches of road and checked out campsites along the way. We stopped for the night at Millers Point and had been told great fishing. The rods were in all afternoon and Alan was up at the crack of dawn but still no bream. During the day Alan helped a guy get his tinny back on the trailer and he gave us mullet to fish with, but still no fish.
