I left the safety of brotherton this morning on a train London bound. It was the first time since planning the trip I felt nervous or a little afraid. I had a terrible nights sleep and woke up feeling a little homesick. I caught a 3 hour bus and train which cost me 1.50 pounds! Couldn't believe it! I've defiantly found some bargains for my london leg of the holiday!

I sit now and it finally sinks in im on the opposite side of the world completely by myself! What have I gotten myself into...

I found a room for ten pound a night, I've now found out why it's so cheap! After getting lost on the trains and almost squashing a few fellow train passengers and braking my back with my massive back pack. I finally found my hostel. It's on a beautiful street in a gorgeous traditional building. It is a really good area right near Hyde park!

I walk inside and am shocked by what I find. The hostel looks old and dark and warn down. Two Pakistani men sit behind the counter talking and slowly moving through a long row of waiting backpackers. A boy has printed off some info to which the reception man yells at him for and the rips the paper work out of the guests hand and tears it up before throwing it in the bin everyone is shocked and a little nervous. I finally get checked in, his blunt but thankfully fairly polite to me. I walk through the thin scary dark hallways to my room. I open the door to a small room with five bunch beds and a sick that looks like it should be in a gaol cell. I sit down say hello to an oldish Asian lady on the bottom bunk beside me and start to unpack. They lady has her head down and then starts to sob!! Before walking out!

What the hell! Hahahaha what have I come to!!!! Hahaha. I'm surprising myself by my optimism about the situation! Now I'm sitting in Hyde park smiling to myself think what has this adventure got in store next.
