Okay, so we're now seven and a half hours into the bus ride. We just left Tegucigalpa, the capital of Honduras, which turned out to be quite a bizarre place. Much like La Paz in Bolivia, it's surrounded by mountains, and sort of comes at you from nowhere. The centre of it seems very Americanized with modern looking shopping malls and several chain restaurants, but then rising up all around it are what look like shanti towns. It wasn't what I expected at all...

We're four hours into our bus journey and have just recently crossed the border from Nicaragua into Honduras. We've covered a lot of ground in the past two days, and are slowly starting to get back into the swing of moving around. I think we're both a little sad and low from leaving the island. Well the sundrenched blur I anticipated setting in is here in full force, so I'll see what I can still remember clearly of the days leading up to our arrival on the island. We were quickly ushered onto a bus upon getting of the ferry and were just getting nicely settled in when they pulled over to the side of the road and in thirty seconds flat were pulled off the bus and thrown, along with our bags, onto another bus. ...

I'm currently sitting on a deck beside the Caribbean Ocean, enjoying my morning coffee- fresh brewed Nicaraguan.
