Raiatea was a lovely surprise; people seemed to have mixed feelings about it because of the lack of beaches, but we didn't feel that was an issue. We got off of the shortest flight I've ever subjected myself to, 15 minutes, and met Cyrille. He made very clear to us that we'd be much happier if we rented a car for the three days that we …
An avid backpacker from start to finish, I was once asked what I enjoyed most about seeing the world in this fashion. I had to give it a lot of thought, but I believe the answer is a love of pushing my limits, getting back to the basics in life, and experiencing other cultures, places and of course food. Blogging allows me to marry two of my favourite pastimes- travelling and writing about it. Thanks for coming along for the journey.

Before it becomes a big blur, I've decided I'd better jot down a bit about our time in Huahine! We got off the plane from Tahiti and were immediately struck by how small the airport was. We…

I think you have the best life and do it right! Work to travel and enjoy. New Zealand is amazingly beautiful. I was there for about a month before going to Australia. I'm sure you have your itinerary figured out, but hopefully you make it to Doubtful Sound. If you want any recos, send me a message. Happy to see you with a partner. I don't get your FB posts fro some reason. I would really like to meet up for a coffee in the New Year. If you are at all interested, send me a pm or email. Enjoy your travels and the beauty and majesty of NZ. An early happy and healthy 2017. ox

Your wanderlust makes me pine for my own, which I know is buried not too deep. A few scratches at the surface and I'm sure it could be awakened. Alas, it's been so long that I've carried a backpack I'm not sure if I miss the travel or the nostalgia of travel. I think the former. Your journey, thus far, has kept me smiling, laughing and nodding my head in understanding. No matter where you are in the world, some things are the same when you are an intrepid traveler. I think you should stay longer than another ten days. Whose blog will I read to keep me entertained and let me live vicariously through adventures, if not yours? Enjoy each and every moment. I've thoroughly enjoyed being a participant, if only in spirit, on your latest adventure. xo

The weather was beautiful there. It rained for a very short time several days/nights over the week, but it didn't get in the way of beaching and swimming at all! It was hot on the west side of little corn and lovely breezy on the east. Definitely worth the trip!!

Hi Shayne, how is the weather in Corn? Any rain so far? Am trying to make up my mind whether to go. How is your experience so far?
Thanks

I'm so envious. You are making me LONG for another backpacking excursion. Sigh. Not anytime soon, I say sadly. At least I can live vicariously through your wonderful tales and superb writing. Keep the posts coming and I'll keep on reading.
Cindy Definitely the highlight of my trip!
re: The 3 PsJoanna Model I'm so jealous of your fabulous travels. Enjoy your time away. I hear, aside from the rain, that Ireland is beautiful. Have fun!
