We left Queenstown after breakfast, and did what any sane person would do…went wine tasting. Central Otago is known for their Pinot Noirs, but I found their Rieslings quite tasty as well. It's always good to start your day with a buzz!
We drove the few hours down to Dunedin and the Otago Peninsula, and drove out to the tip to try and see the penguins. They weren't around at that hour, but we did see some lazy seals and have a very scary drive on windy roads that dropped down to the sea a little more closely than either of us were comfortable with. They kept warning us about the driving, but we needed to experience it firsthand to really understand.
Since we started the day with a winery, it only seemed right to finish it with a brewery. We did a tour of Speights, got my second buzz of the day, filled our bottles with their "magical water" (there's a tap out front that people literally line up for sometimes an hour to fill their multiple jugs from), and decided it was very much time for bed!!
