We landed in Hanoi where we cleared customs and collected our bags, luckily we only had one bag mishap, when Monique's bag didn't come out but after talking to a few people it arrived after having to be inspected in customs. We met our tour guide Tony who took us to the nice air conditioned bus (was 29 degrees outside!). We headed off to our hotel in the old quarter of Vietnam called the Skylark and all found our way to our rooms. We then got the chance to change some money to dong and have a look around the streets or go for a swim before dinner. We met up again with Tony and got on the bus and headed to a buffet dinner at the international restaurant. The most amazing buffet you'll ever see!!! Every type of food you could ever imagine! We all got to try some odd, interesting but delicious Vietnamese cuisine!! After being filled to the max we headed outside to sit in the garden until the bus arrived. When we got back to the hotel I think it was fair to say we were all pretty ready for bed! What an awesome first day in Vietnam!
