Hey folks,

This little beauty known as Rottnest Island or Rotto is my current home till after new year. (Possibly longer) I arrived 14th nov so been here just under a month now and loving it. I work at dome which is alright, although you do get good discounts at most shops on the island (there's only six). Working in the kitchen doing abit of everything and learning alot. Mostly like how to use a knife without chopping your fingers off etc... The people here are awsome - good mix. They're all aussies from Perth and all like one big family really. Days off or morning or afternoons (depend on shifts) are spent just mucking about at the beach, snorkling or just jumping off the jetty day or night, usually at night after work we head down fully clothed in our uniform coz its hot and washes your clothes! lol. The pub has good bands that come over every now and again, although its only recently reopened its all good, but the beer is still expensive :( Off to do some Christmas shopping before getting the ferry home so i better get a move on.
