Good flight into Gatwick and smooth quick process in UK immigration and customs. It helped being two of very few non UK people on the flight so we had our own sections. The flight was full of poms returning home from spending time in Cuba at the all inclusive beach resorts and some of them had the sunburn to prove it. Driver had us at Deirdre's place by 10.30am. It is a beautiful spring day about 23 degrees and is supposed to stay like this while we are here which is lucky for us because up till now their weather has been terrible cold and raining. Everything is green and the spring flowers are blooming - picture postcard English countryside. Alan to bed for a sleep (not much on the plane), Virginia and Deirdre a bit of shopping and lunch at the nearby Mayfly pub. Lazy afternoon sitting outside talking and enjoying the spring weather before an early night to catch up the 5 hours lost overnight between Cuba and London
