Another perfect spring day and another do nothing day. Morning walk through the meadows, lunch at the Black Swan in Monxton (village next to Deirdre's) outside in the sun next to a stream, reading etc at the cottage, afternoon tea at Wendy and Neville's (Deirdre's neighbors), late dinner at the cottage and good nights sleep ready for transit day tomorrow with flights to Singapore and the Phuket. Another beautiful spring day. We spent it driving the back roads through villages in Wiltshire, Dorset and Somerset so er saw rolling green meadows, heaps of thatched cottages, sheep and cattle. Lunch at a pub in Milton Abbas which is officially one of the prettiest villages in England and we could see why. Body clock adjusted and another beautiful spring day in the picture postcard small English village of Amport complete with village green surrounded by thatched cottages, a centuries old church, pub, rolling green meadows etc etc. Went for a morning walk through meadows and paddocks and now off to Andover to do a bit of shopping and walk up the high street then to the Mayfly pub for lunch alongside the running stream. Good flight into Gatwick and smooth quick process in UK immigration and customs. It helped being two of very few non UK people on the flight so we had our own sections. The flight was full of poms returning home from spending time in Cuba at the all inclusive beach resorts and some of them had the sunburn to prove it. Driver had us at Deirdre's place by 10.30am.
