Tour group meeting this morning with Osvaldo then off in a new tour bus (seats 20 but only 7 of us and very comfortable). We have the same bus, driver and guide all trip. Slow start today after Tropicana last night. Caught the hop on hop off bus and stayed on it for 2.5 hours as it went through parts of the old town, the waterfront, Vedado where our hotel is and along the beach hotel strip - very interesting contrast in neighborhoods. We love Havana. Hotel Nacionale is old with lots of history, rooms are spacious , comfortable and well equipped and it has amazing and extensive grounds, bars and sitting areas and is set right on the sea. We walked the local Vedado area last night and walked along the sea front wall (Malecon) to the Old City today. Transit day. Up early and organized and Hubert dropped us at MoBay airport at 8 am for our 10am flight to Grand Cayman and then onto Havana. Off to nearby Greenwood village to visit Greenwood Great House one of the 18th and 19th century mansions built by the British owners of very large sugar plantations in Jamaica. Greenwood is up in steeper hills than Scarlett Hall so the wealthy people have built a lot of larger homes on the hillside with incredible views.
