Today we saw a caterpillar train. I think in each train there were about 20 caterpillars. They are the larvae of the Bag Shelter Moth.
They eat the leaves of wattle trees.
They are dark brown with long white hairs, and lay a trail of silk.

Cathy Bradley YES!!! A picture! The words are amazing and love the eyes of all the people looking down at the caterpillar train
Cathy Bradley Hi Matilda! What an amazing thing to find! I have never ever heard of or seen a caterpillar train. I love your story about this exciting find. I was also very happy to see that you drew a drawing of what you saw. The photo is amazing but I love your drawing more. I laughed when I saw the way you showed the eyes looking down - very very good picture. I always love seeing your pictures.
