Slept in!!! Boy did we need that . . . Then for a wander to Copocobana Beach for a swim and 'people watch - again. The each was full of hawkers selling every concievable item - first wave was chair and umbrella rental, then bikinis, hats, Jeweley, sarongs, cashews, even kids blow up pools and beach toys.

In the afternoon we went for a tour to see Christ The Redeemer statue. Picked up from hotel the taken to the 'cog' train to be hauled up the mountain side for the 25 min ride up to the top. The day was clear so the view of Rio De Janiero was a spectacular sight . . .

We then returned to the hotel, repacked and turned in for a very early start.
