There is no where quite like Byron Bay! It was amazing to see and stay with Pete, Kel, Bridget, FiFi and there pet chicken Charlotte! ( Who by the way is partial to a bit of cheese). Thanks to our marvellous host we got to to explore the beautiful Byron hinterlands. A beautiful drive out to Minyon falls was incredible. Not sure which I enjoyed more the stunning scenery, Kevlars stack! or the delicious sushi we ate on leaving at a little gorgeous funky cafe in federal.Sunday morning markets at the channon was another scenic drive of the lush rolling hinterlands, we drove 30 minutes or so in land. Loved these markets for the wonderfully weird, captivating people. The whole vibe of the place is infectious, from the colourful stalls to the mouthwatering food vans, old school organic coffee made in a massive steel jug! We watched the Pitts family circus performing, by a teepee, as you do! Felt very old worldly. Fabulous music being played by amazing buskers. Talking of which, after a spicy Indian in Byron the night before. We were all so stuffed!!! We decided on a little stroll...that lead us to the beats of a bongo drum in the beach car park! This jam session happen each Saturday same time same place. Anyone who plays is welcome. It's funky, friendly and most of all fun. After we left there we stumbled a crossed another busking band! Oh my where they fantastic. The best version of Amy Winehouse "Valerie" I've ever heard. Later on after we'd been up to the lighthouse, and the girls played chasey with the light! We drove back by these talented buskers
, who by now had drawn in quite a crowd. Petes Sunday roast also a crowd pleaser! Amazing staying here , Kel n Petes house is beautiful complete with a koala corridor out the back. Nosey little b*****s at dusk!! The girls loved catching up with there friends as much as we did.
