Merry Christmas! We've had a fab Christmas here in Batemans bay. The drive from Sydney to here was beautiful N.S.W is a very pretty state. After setting up it was straight to Aldi to stock up for the big day! After many years of trying I finally had my grandad Franks amazing sage and onion stuffing reciepe. Christmas Eve was lovely we made Grandads stuffing and burnt Santas cookies! Listening to carols and making Christmas decorations. After lunch we checked out surf beach and it's fab rock pools filled with weird sea creatures, we we're all captivated by a octopus that looked like it was trying to eat this weird Beatle looking thing! Great waves here.
That evening we walked over to Bells carnival, the girls raced from ride to ride. We left Santa a stuffing butty after the cookie disaster!
Christmas morning my favourite time of year. Very special. After opening all the pressies, prepping the veg for dinner and barbie breakfast we hit the beach with boogie boards and a bottle of champagne. Mckenzie beach is beautiful another great surf beach. Christmas was a success, one last stroll on the beach and we were all ready for bed.
While staying here we did a road trip out to Jarvis bay, Hyams beach nice little spot. On the drive home we discovered Rick Steins restaurant Bannister in Mollymook! Very exciting! If we weren't on such a travelling budget I'd have booked a table. Next time maybe. Campbell's caravan kitchen is pretty fab though.
