This morning started with a group of about 20 delicate feeling people, I mean there were people still blatantly drunk, me included, not good when having to travel and with a back pack. But we soldiered on and got on the train to Nha Trang. We started at 10 and we are now well over half way. To be fair I fell asleep for the first 4 hours, really not sure how I did that but woke up, had a walk then had lunch - sarnie and crisps.. A popular choice by all. The journey has literally got much better as we had the first 5 hours without air con, not good whatsoever, so had my head out the window like a dog, but was cool..... The air con is now on and we can really relax comfortably. I sort of expected this blog to be a little shorter as what can there really be to write about stuck on a train for 12 hours. The landscape though is beautiful and I'm starting to see the Vietnam I came to expect. Stunning!!!..........

Well it's around 6 and it's official, 12 hour train journeys awake aren't that great!.... But I think the beer is calling and we have 24 left to drink in 3 hours, easy!........
Lisa is f******g bored but she doesn't usually swear!
The journey ended and the beers were almost all drank so they should get us started on the next train in a couple of days... I do think by the end of that journey delirium had kicked in as we were actually laughing at each others impressions of animals....... Hm!.... 12 hours on a train is so surreal, words can't explain it.... Also, we lost the air con after about an hour, so it was ridiculously hot! But, there's only one more train to go!! We arrived in Nha Trang around 9.00 and a few of us went for a walk to explore the local surroundings. We were surprised at how westernised this beach resort is, and were a little disappointed at first. Reps were trying to drag us into bars with English music blaring, it could have almost been Magaluf! Once we'd past that street though, we found the beach, and we were back in beautiful Vietnam. The wind is really rough, so there a few freak waves that were carefully dodged! We headed for a restaurant, and found ourselves in a western owned bar, two doors down from the hotel, it's the new local! Shattered, we went to bed, ready for the boat trip tomorrow!
