We said goodbye to Chiang Mai this morning, although I'd really like to go back again to explore more of this lovely city. Last night was great! We ate at the Riverside restaurant, as recommended to us by our new Australian friend Kim. We shared starters and both had fillet steak with pepper sauce which came to £16 for both us! How cheap?? And it tasted amazing..... As the name suggests, the restaurant was at the river side, so had a great view, and there was live music too. We both said we could live in Chiang Mai, we love it!! Wow! What a full on day!..... Another incredible experience,.... We arrived in Chiang Mai late last night, approx midnight as the Easy Jet style flight was delayed. So not much was done , just unpack then sleep..... We did have some plans in mind for the day but got up at 6am with nothing planned... We headed for breakfast which was average and spotted the tour and info desk.... So headed across and found a day tour to the Mea Ka River, to the north of Chiang Mai...

So..... Last night was ace! We went out for dinner in Chinatown, arriving by tuk tuk. I love that way of getting around town! We ended up in the Canton, and when we sat down, it was all bloody seafood again!! We weren't happy, but then the tour guide said that we could order any dish from the menu and swap the seafood for chicken or pork. It turned out to be good, although we weren't impressed with the lady mopping underneath our feet while we were eating! Si tri...

Today we were meant to see the Grand Palace and all the tourist attractions but we saw them on our first day here so essentially we had a free day.. So we took the morning at a leisurely pace by starting at around 9. We headed to the tailors by tuk tuk, standard, so a 15 minute drive around the city for less than 2 pounds, just a bargain....
