Today was a bit of an early one, as to beat the tourists so we left at 6 ... Didn't like getting up early but was worth it as once we had reached the My Son Temples we were the only ones there. So peaceful and the grounds were so historic. It was a little wet and both me and Emma weren't really prepared, so Toms for me and thongs for Emma, (thongs are Australian for flip flops)... Either way, not good in the mud. We had an hour looking around the grounds and some of the monuments or temples are upto 1000 years old. We then headed back to Hoi An and had a free afternoon, so got some local food at a superb river side shack and enjoyed crispy noodles and pork, the pork was sooo tender.... Once eaten and recharged we had a slow walk around the beautiful little town, though very over run by westerners.... We did though have our first coat fittings, both went well but both need altering and finishing, so left them to it for half an hour then headed back for the second fitting and we were both very excited and very pleased at the final fit. Both coats look Amez!.... Once done we did a little more shopping then headed to a bar for a quick drink before we jumped aboard the boat for the night's river cruise. This was very pleasant as we were the only people on the river. We got through about 5 courses, all equally as good as the next, washed down with a few beers of course.... Before the trip had ended though we all got to light little lanterns and place them on the river, obviously making a wish first.... It looked stunning with the backgrounds too... when we docked though there was a small problem, it was high tide, which meant the river had rose above the the banks and across the promenade!... We had to get off some how. So trousers rolled up and shoes off and into the murky waters we leaped .. Funny experience though.... Our tour guide Tho then moved us onto a bar, clearly a westerners bar as it was full of Americans..... We all ordered cocktails, then shots were shouted and it was downhill from there. Everyone got a little drunk with many cocktails , shots and body shots consumed. Also a random piece of cake made it to the party,, not sure where that came from. I'm sure there was a lot more to say that was possibly funnier but none of us can remember at the moment. We got in at 2 and were up at 8, so got some sleep but not ready for the train journey to Nah Trang, 12 hours to endure.. But we are with a good group, we got food, beer and tunes........ Laters, Moon.....
