On Wednesday 21st January we said farewell to Australia and hello to NEW ZEALAND. We arrived in Christchurch that afternoon to hot temperatures despite being repeatedly told NZ is much cooler than Oz. We had booked to stay at the Jailhouse Hostel - which as the name implies used to be a real Jail and still has some of its original features.
