Outback Adventure 2019
Day 1 Sydney - Jugiong
“Free Stuff”
Today was a driving day just to get out of Sydney town. We got on the road at about 4.45pm after spending about 30 mins looking for the spare set of caravan keys (that were in the car!) Actually it was just a delaying tactic so that we could see Cobes after Uni and say goodbye!
Luckily the Sydney traffic was flowing ok and so we managed to get onto the M5 without too much hassle. On the way we stopped to let a tradie reverse out in front of us.....with his work boots on the roof of the car! Yeah he drove off completely oblivious to the circus in the Disco trying to alert him. So off he goes and flys round the next corner with his work boots and socks flying off everywhere! How does that even happen??
We rolled into Goulburn Maccas at about 8pm for dinner which was much too late for Cayden who attempted to eat all the hot cross buns in the pack as he was ‘starving’.
From there it was a quick hour and a half to Jugiong weaving around the B-Doubles along the Hume Highway. We fueled at the servo and rollled into our camp.
Our campsite tonight is next to the Motel acrross from the Murrumbidgee River. We had a quick drink and marveled at the Star canopy above us on a nice clear night. Early night of course getting ready for the real adventure that starts in the morning.
Woohoo- we are underway on another adventure! And today was all free! Free Krispy Kreme’s and coffees and air at 7 Eleven (cover shot) and Free Camping tonight.
330ks driven today.
