After closing up the boathouse garage, we left Beaverton around 9:30 am. Headed to Cambridge to pick up our new tarp around 1 pm, then made it to Sarnia / Port Huron around 2:30. Drove up the coast of Lake Huron for an hour, then headed to the centre of Michigan. We camped in West Branch, just north of Bay City, right where the "thumb" meets the "palm".
