Going it alone: I left Emma in Langkawi yesterday morning, flew to KL then to Bangkok. I met up with 2 friends from back home (Steve & Andy), dropped off my stuff in a motel just off the Th ko San road and explored the Ko San. Extremely busy and very daunting. Met some really nice people and had a good night. Did plenty of shopping today which the guys have taken home for me. Im on my own now and so have booked to do a trip early morning for 3 days to ride the elephants, go on the 'death train' (over the river), go to the tiger temple and a few other bits but i'll update you as soon as i get back. Bangkok had the heaviest rain i'd seen today where the road floods. There have been flood warnings but im sure it will be fine. The BBC have forecast sunshine! The food on the street is really nice here and i can see me living on that for a while. It's so cheap to eat, sleep and shop too so my money will be able to go along way. It was only 17pounds to do my 3 day trip including accomodation and 3 meals a day!
