Ive actually just left Luang Prabang. Was more of a city than Vientiane the capital was! Had a great night market and there was plenty to do. Met a great crowd. We got a tuk tuk to the large waterfall which was beautiful and i managed to cycle to the smaller one! Met up with Emma but unfortunatly was her first day there and my last night!

The drive from Vientiane to Vang Vien was about 4 hours long and very bumpy to say the least. The roads were deserted and you could imagion an ambush! Saw some disturbing things that are obviously normal to the locals but will take a while for me to adjust to. Vang Vien is a lot less populated and seems very chilled out. The people here are genuinly friendly and there is so much to do. Went Tubing today up the Mekong river, stopping to meet other travellers ...

Just left Vientiane. It was the boat festival so the most exciting time of the year for the people there apparently. Was great fun. Met some really nice people who i am with at the moment and might stay with while travelling Lao. For the capital city, it was basic to say the least. There weren't that many tourists either. Nighlife was good and Lao food is really nice. The people here are the nicest i have met so far.
